Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Babinda

A man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Babinda this afternoon, 29 August.

Around 1pm, police and emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway following reports of a crash involving a Honda CBR1000RR motorcycle and a Toyota Landcruiser.

The rider of the CBR1000RR, a 76-year-old Eubenangee man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Landcruiser, a 32-year-old Babinda man, was not physically injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

FCU are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
