Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Gold Coast 24 January

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal traffic crash in Robina last night, 23 January.

Around 9.05pm, a Ford Focus sedan on Pyrmont Street attempted to turn onto Cottesloe Drive and collided with a Honda motorcycle.

The rider, a 22-year-old Burleigh Heads man, sustained critical injuries and was treated at the scene but declared deceased a short time later.

The driver of the Ford, a 51-year-old Pacific Pines woman, did not sustain any physical injuries.

Officers are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police.
