Police Responding To Fatal Traffic Crash At Wonbah

A teenager has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Wonbah on Sunday, 16 February.

Initial investigations indicate a white Ford Fiesta was travelling eastbound on Gin Gin Mount Perry Road, between Morris Road and Sawpit Road, before 3.30pm when the driver failed to negotiate a bend in the road.

The vehicle hit two trees before rolling down an embankment.

The driver and sole occupant, a 17-year-old Mount Perry boy, was airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

As a result of his injuries, he passed away in hospital today, 18 February.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam is urged to contact police.
