The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal traffic crash at Elimbah yesterday, 22 March.
Initial information indicates around 4:20am a 2015 Kia Cerato was travelling Bigmor Drive before striking a power pole, with a fire then engulfing the vehicle.
The driver and single occupant of the vehicle was declared deceased at the scene.
Formal identification of the deceased is yet to be undertaken; however, officers believe it to be a man in his 20s.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone with relevant information or video footage to come forward.
