Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mount Garnet

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a single-vehicle traffic crash on the Kennedy Highway this morning.

At 7:00am police were called to the scene, south-west of Mount Garnet, after reports a white Toyota Landcruiser had rolled.

Initial investigations indicate the vehicle was travelling in a south-westerly direction when it left the road, and went down a steep embankment, during the early hours of the morning.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 21-year-old Queenton man, was unable to be revived and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with dashcam footage of the white Landcruiser before the crash, to contact police.
