Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Sandy Ridges

Police are investigating the death of a man following a single vehicle traffic crash at Sandy Ridges, in the South Burnett today (Friday, August 27).

Officers were called to the scene at around 7am after a passing motorist located the vehicle on the Burnett Highway.

Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle, a 2008 green-gold Holden Commodore rolled several times. A 29-year-old Cherbourg man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating with police appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle travelling on the Highway this morning to contact them.

Anyone with relevant dashcam footage is also asked to contact police.
