Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mount Tarampa

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a traffic crash at Mount Tarampa yesterday morning (November 17) in which a man died.

Shortly after 5am, a black sedan and a cement truck collided at the intersection of Watsons Road and Coominya Connection Road.

A 65-year-old Morton Vale man, the driver of the sedan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His passenger, a 15-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

A 48-year-old Kensington Grove man, the driver of the truck, was transported to the Ipswich Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is asking for any witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to contact police.
