Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Mareeba

A woman has died following a fatal two-vehicle crash in Mareeba yesterday afternoon (January 27).

Initial investigations indicate shortly before 5.00pm, a ute and motorcycle collided on the Kennedy Highway.

The motorcycle rider, a woman in her 60s, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the ute were not physically injured.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision are urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
