Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Ipswich

A 75-year-old woman has died following a traffic crash in Mutdapilly earlier today.

Just before midday, a dual-cab utility and station wagon collided on the Cunningham Highway.

A 75-year-old Mutdapilly woman, the driver of the station wagon, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The 65-year-old male driver of the ute, from Grange, was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or motorists with and dash cam vision, who were in the area at the time to please contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
