Police are investigating after a single vehicle crash claimed the life of a 19-year-old man this afternoon.
Preliminary information suggests the Fore Falcon ute was travelling along Protheroe Road when it lost control and crashed into bushland near Forgan Road before catching fire.
A member of the public managed to extinguish the blaze.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Kallangur man, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
