Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Moranbah

Two men have died after a crash involving three vehicles west of Moranbah this afternoon (November 18).

Preliminary information indicates that at around 1.30pm a B-double and two utilities collided on the Peak Downs Highway.

The male drivers of both utes aged 61 and 39 were declared deceased at the scene.

The truck driver, a 32-year-old man, was airlifted to Mackay Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Peak Downs Highway remains closed at this time and motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Anyone with dashcam or further information is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
