Police responding to motor vehicle crash at Bass Highway and Mount Street Burnie

Burnie Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash, involving sedan, a hatchback and a utility which occurred approximately 5:09 pm on Thursday the 6th of May 2021 at the intersection of the Bass Highway and Mount Street in Burnie.

Initial investigations indicate that the sedan failed to stop at the intersection with a red light and has collided with the hatchback and the utility.

Tasmanian Ambulance Service, Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police responded to the crash. The driver of the sedan had to be cut from the vehicle, however, did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was disrupted for around one hour whilst the crash was investigated.
