Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Cairns

Police are investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash which occurred at Manunda early this morning, 6 December.

Shortly before 2.30am, a blue Isuzu ute with two occupants collided with a power pole at the intersection of Lennon Street and McCormack Street.

The driver, a 16-year-old Earlville boy, and passenger, a 16-year-old White Rock boy, were both transported to Cairns Hospital in serious but stable conditions.

Initial investigations indicate the Isuzu was allegedly stolen from a Trinity Park address yesterday morning, 5 December.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
