The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash involving an e-scooter in Burleigh Heads overnight (February 1).
Preliminary investigations indicate around 7.30pm a man was riding an e-scooter east-bound on Reedy Creek Road when he crossed into the path of a Toyota Corolla travelling south on Bermuda Street.
The 34-year-old Currumbin man was not wearing a helmet and sustained critical injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Robina woman, was not physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.
