Police responding to serious traffic crash at Canina

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash involving a pedestrian at Canina this afternoon.

Around 3.45pm, a 14-year-old boy was crossing Tin Can Bay Road when he was struck by a Hyundai I30.

The teenage boy suffered a serious head injury and was flown by helicopter to the Queensland Children's Hospital, South Brisbane in a critical condition.

The 27-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was not physically injured.

Tin Can Bay Road was closed for investigations until approximately 7pm.

Forensic Crash Unit are investigating and asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam and was travelling on Tin Can Bay Road around 3.45pm to contact police.
