Police responding to serious traffic crash at Crestmead

A 17-year-old boy is in a critical condition following a single vehicle traffic crash in Crestmead earlier this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate around 4.00am a Toyota Celica coupe travelling east on Browns Plains Road has lost control and struck a pole.

The boy, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to hospital with critical head injuries.

The 19-year-old male driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or any motorists with dashcam travelling on Browns Plains Road to contact police.
