Police responding to serious truck crash at Wetherill Park

Emergency services remain at the scene of a serious truck crash in Sydney's west.

About 6.30am today (Thursday 28 October 2021), police were called to Victoria Street at Wetherill Park, following reports two B-Double trucks had crashed and caught fire.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Fire & Rescue NSW are working to extinguish the blaze.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command remain at the scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Cowpasture Road and Victoria Road are closed, and local traffic diversions have been established.
