Police responding to traffic crash at Aspley

A 22-year-old Hendra man has been taken into police custody following a traffic crash involving a suspected stolen SUV in Aspley this morning.

Around 10.40am, the Hendra man was driving a silver Audi Q5 along Maundrell Terrace when it hit a black Mitsubishi Outlander station wagon head-on.

Initial investigations indicate the same Audi had been reported stolen from a Northgate address between 7.30am and 9am this morning.

The occupants of the Mitsubishi, a 34-year-old man and a 4-year-old boy, required medical for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Hendra man was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital for assessment of his injuries while in custody.

Police are appealing for information and dash cam footage from the Aspley and Northgate areas, particularly regarding the silver Audi with Queensland registration QCG75Z, to assist with ongoing investigations.
