Police are investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash at Chinchilla overnight, May 21.
At approximately 8.15pm a blue 2021 YZF-R3 Yamaha motorcycle and a grey 2010 Ford Festiva were travelling east along the Warrego Highway between Carmichael Street and Dawson Gates Road, when the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the car.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old Chinchilla man suffered significant leg injuries and was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old Chinchilla man, suffered back injuries and was also flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have dashcam to assist the investigation to come forward.
