Police Responding To Traffic Crash At Murarrie

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious two-vehicle crash in Murarrie last night, 9 July.

Initial investigations indicate around 8:13pm, a black Yamaha motorcycle collided into the back of a blue GWM Haval Jolion on the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridge southbound.

The rider, a man in his 30s, sustained significant injuries was transported to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The occupants of the Haval sustained minor injuries.

The Gateway Motorway Bridge southbound was reduced to one lane and reopened at 11pm.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or have relevant vision, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
