Investigators from Portland Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance to identify a burglar following a break-in at a power tool store south of Heywood.
Detectives believe an unknown offender gained entry to the store about 6am on Sunday 17 February.
The burglar stole a number of Husqvarna chainsaws of varying sizes.
Police would like to encourage members of the public to remain vigilant if they see any brand new chainsaws listed for "too good to be true" prices, in the event that they are stolen.
