Police search for hot wheels in Preston

Police at Preston are hoping to identify a pedalling thief who stole a mountain bike in Preston last month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a mountain bike was locked up to a bike rack on Gower Street about 10.30am on Monday 23 October.

It is believed an unknown man bolt cutters to cut the lock and stole the bike and was last seen riding towards High Street.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his 40s with a thin build.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, navy blue hooded jumper and carrying a black backpack.

Investigators have released an image of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries and an image of a similar mountain bike.
