Police search for missing girl Angel Alefosio

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing girl Angel Alefosio, Victoria Police say.

The 12-year-old Roxburgh Park girl was last seen at a Taplin Way residence about 8am on Monday.

Investigators have been told Angel made contact with her mother about 12am the following morning, crying and stating she was at Broadmeadows Shopping Centre and asking to be picked up shortly before the phone cut out.

Her mother was unable to locate her there and contacted police.

Angel contacted her mother again from a private number on 12 July sounding scared but did not state where she was.

Police and family members hold concerns for Angel’s welfare due to her age and the fact her disappearance is out of character.

Investigators have released images of Angel in the hope someone recognises her and may be able to provide information on her whereabouts.

She is described as about 145-155cm tall with black hair and is last believed to be seen wearing a grey Nike jumper and blue jeans.

Police believe Angel may be in the Broadmeadows area.

Anyone with information or who sights Angel is urged to contact the Broadmeadows Police Station on 9302 8222 or Crime Stoppers.
