Police search for missing jet skier - Sylvania Waters

A large search operation is underway for a jet skier missing in Sydney's south.

Just before 7pm yesterday (Friday 24 September 2021), emergency services were called to Hawkesbury Reserve Boat Ramp, Sylvania Waters, following reports of a missing jet skier.

Police were told the 27-year-old man was last seen on Georges River, Dolls Point, about 5pm and was due to return to Hawkesbury Reserve Boat Ramp but failed to return.

Officers attached to St George Police Area Command, alongside officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command, PolAir and Botany Bay Water Police commenced a search of the area.

The search is ongoing, with officers to be assisted by PolAir, Marine Area Command, Sydney Ports, and Roads and Maritime Services again today.

He was last seen on a red Yamaha jet ski bearing registration plates AGG 815N and wearing a red coloured life jacket with navy blue shorts.
