Police search for missing man Lavpreet Cheema

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to help locate long-term missing man Lavpreet Cheema, Victoria Police say.

The 39-year-old, who was studying in Australia, was last known to be living on Princess Street, Kew, but hasn’t had contact with his family in India since 2005.

He was reported missing in July 2015.

Lavpreet worked in the Oakleigh area and also resided in Dandenong and Sunshine prior to his disappearance.

Police and family hold concerns for Lavpreet’s welfare due to the length of time he has been missing.

Investigators have released images of Lavpreet as well as composite images of what he may look like now in the hope someone recognises him and can shed light on his current whereabouts.

Lavpreet is described as 173cm tall with a thin build and black/brown hair and eyes.

Anyone who sights Lavpreet or who knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
