Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a stabbing which occurred in Sybella Avenue, Koo Wee Rup on 29 March.
It is believed a 48-year-old man from Koo Wee Rup received stab wounds to his upper body following an altercation with an unknown male about 1pm.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives have released computer-generated images of a man in the hope he may be identified.
