Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Edward.
The 25-year-old left a medical facility in Ringwood East about 10.50am yesterday and has not been seen since.
Police have concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition that requires medication.
It is believed Edward may become confused and erratic as a result of his condition.
Edward is described as having a slim build with brown dreadlock hairstyle and tattoos on his neck.
He was last seen wearing a dark coloured tee-shit, loose khaki pants and was barefoot.
An image of Edward has been released in the hope someone recognises him and has information on his current whereabouts.
Anyone who sights Edward is urged not to approach him and call triple zero.
