Geelong Highway Patrol is investigating following a collision on Roslyn Road and High Street, Belmont about 5.55pm today, Victoria Police say.
Officers have been told the driver of a white Mazda 3 was seen driving erratically in Wandana Heights on Scenic Road and Roslyn Road prior to the collision.
The driver then collided with another vehicle and light post at the intersection of Roslyn Road and High Street.
The driver of the second vehicle was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
The 23-year-old male driver of the Mazda 3 has been transported to hospital for observation and is under police guard.
