Police Seek Dashcam Footage After Fatal Ute Accident

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision as they investigate the death of a woman at Fairy Meadow earlier today.

Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway after a pedestrian was struck by a ute about 8.30am today (Sunday 2 April 2023).

Officers from Wollongong Police District arrived to find a 66-year-old woman critically injured; despite efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, she died at the scene.

The driver, a 62-year-old man, was taken to Wollongong Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
