Police Seek Elderly Man With Dementia Missing in Cherrybrook

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man reported missing from Sydney's north west.

John Brodie, aged 85, was last seen in Cherrybrook about 4.30pm today (Saturday 3 October 2026).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for John's welfare as he lives with dementia.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 185cm, slim build, grey hair, unshaven and is deaf.

He was last seen wearing a white collard shirt, grey jumper, brown trousers and brown leather shoes.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to contact Castle Hill Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
