Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing man Rosario Morina.
The 88-year-old Elwood man was last seen at his home address on Broadway when he left to travel to St Kilda yesterday about 6pm.
Rosario does not have a mobile phone with him and may be using public transport trying to get back home.
Police and family have concerns for Rosario's welfare due to his age and a medical condition.
Investigators have released an image of Rosario in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information regarding his current whereabouts.
Rosario is described as being 160cm tall with a medium build and grey hair.
Anyone who sees Rosario is urged to call St Kilda Police Station on 9536 2666.
