Police are seeking public assistance to locate an 11-year-old girl missing from Burnside, Sunshine Coast, since today, 31 December.
The girl (pictured) was last seen about 2pm at a residence at Nambour Mapleton Road and has not been seen since.
Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age.
Officers believe she may be in the company of a woman who is living rough on the Sunshine Coast, possibly in the Nambour area.
She is described as Caucasian, of average build, with dark blonde hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing a purple floral dress and pink and white striped slides and has compression bandage on her left ankle.
Police are appealing to the girl, or anyone with information that may assist in locating her, to contact police.
