Police seek help to find missing man at Daintree

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man reported missing in the Daintree area since yesterday.

Milan Lemic (pictured) was last seen by a member of the public attending to a bogged black utility Victorian registration XAW992 at Bairds Crossing, Upper Daintree Village at about 4.30pm.

When the member of the public returned with a tractor some time later and pulled the vehicle out, Mr Lemic was unable to be located.

Mr Lemic is described as Caucasian, 191cm tall and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a bright fluro singlet, black gym shirt with white writing on it, black tracksuit pants, no shoes and no hat.

Police hold concerns for his safety due to the remoteness of the location where he was last seen.

Members of the community in the Daintree area are asked to check their properties for any signs of the man.

If anyone has any information in relation to the whereabouts of Mr Lemic, they are urged to contact police.
