Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a vehicle stolen from Altona on Monday (5 May).
Investigators have been told three people gained entry to a vehicle storage yard on Kororoit Creek Road about 6.40am.
It is believed a stolen Mercedes was used to force the gate at the property.
The vehicle used to force the gate has since been located in Dohertys Road Laverton on 5 May about 7am.
The outstanding white Mercedes AMG GT C190 was last sighted on Tullamarine Freeway just past the Moreland Road exit about 7.50pm tonight (8 May).
It is believed the vehicle is now displaying registration of YNN-180.
Investigators have released an image and CCTV footage of the vehicle in the hope someone can provide information on the vehicle or the people involved.
