Police seek help to locate missing Brunswick woman Maryam Hamka

Missing Person Squad detectives are investigating the disappearance of Brunswick woman Maryam Hamka.

The 36-year-old was last seen leaving a Woolworths store in Albert Street, Brunswick at 5.30pm on Saturday 10 April at 5.30pm.

Maryam is described to be 165cm tall, with a thin build and long black hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion.

She was last seen wearing a black dress and had told family she was intending to visit a friend in Brighton.

Maryam was reported missing to police on the Thursday 15 April.

Last night, detectives executed a search warrant at a Well Street, Brighton residence and arrested a 45-year-old man.

The Brighton man is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
