Police are appealing for public assistance as part of their search for missing elderly Templestowe man Hoshiyer.
The 80-year-old was last seen walking along Porter Street in Templestowe shortly after 10.30am today.
Police and family have concerns for Hoshiyer's welfare due to his age and medical conditions that affect his memory.
He may be trying to make his way to a previous Dandenong North address.
An image of Hoshiyer has been released in the hope someone can provide information on his whereabouts.
He is described as south-east Asian appearance, 150cm tall with short grey straight hair, brown eyes and a thin build.
He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans, long grey coat and running shoes.
