Police seek help to locate missing girl in Charlestown

Police are appealing for assistance to locate a young Autistic girl, who went missing from a carpark in Charlestown about midday today, NSW Police say.

Kaylee Roberts, aged 15, may not be aware of her surroundings.

She was with her mother in the carpark of McDonalds, on the Pacific Highway, about 11.50 am today, when she became upset and ran away.

She has since been sighted at the Shell Service Station, also on the Pacific Highway, Charlestown.

Police believe Kaylee may still be in the vicinity of the Charlestown CBD or Charlestown Square on Pearson Street.

Kaylee is described as being about 170cm tall with a thin build, with a fair complexion and dyed red hair.

She is wearing black track suit pants, a black long sleeve shirt with a pink T-shirt over the top.

Police were contacted and have commenced a ground search. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the young girl in the Charlestown area to contact Charlestown Police Station on
