Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing man William.
The 81-year-old was last seen on Furlong Road in St Albans leaving hospital about 8.30am today.
William was wearing a brown flannel shirt, blue track pants and slip-on shoes.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he may not know where he is due to his dementia and he requires medical attention.
Investigators have released an image of William and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Keilor Downs Police Station on 9365 3315.
