Police are searching for missing Highett woman Carmel.
The 59-year-old was last seen on Fox Close about 8.40am yesterday.
Carmel is deaf and non-verbal, and police and family have concerns for her welfare due to a medical condition that requires medication.
Carmel is Caucasian, approximately 162cm tall, with short grey hair.
She was last seen wearing a long-sleeve beige shirt, black leggings and black and white runners. She may also be carrying a blue handbag.
Carmel is known to visit Melbourne by train and frequents parks and playgrounds.
Police have released an image of Carmel in the hope someone can provide information on her whereabouts.
