Police seek info after firearms, ammunition stolen in Dubbo

Police are appealing for information after a number of firearms and ammunition were stolen from a property in the state’s Orana Region, NSW Police say.

Between Tuesday 12 April 2016 and Tuesday 19 April 2016, unknown persons gained access to a property on Depot Road, Dubbo, where they forced entry to a gun safe.

Two shot guns, a rifle and a large amount of ammunition were stolen from the property, as well as a generator and outdoor lighting.

The stealing was discovered yesterday, and reported to officers from Orana Local Area Command who launched an investigation into the incident.

A crime scene was established at the property and examined by detectives and forensic specialists.

Investigations into the matter are continuing and anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stopers.
