Police are appealing for information after a man was found with critical head injuries in Redfern, NSW Police say.
About 3am today, police were called to St Vincents Hospital after a man was admitted to emergency with critical head injuries.
Following inquiries, police attended a unit on Young Street where they spoke to a 47-year-old occupant.
He was taken to Redfern Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.
A crime scene was established at the unit.
Investigators continue to make inquiries into the incident and area appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
The 27-year-old injured man remains in a critical condition and has undergone surgery.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
