Police are appealing for assistance following a stabbing near Tamworth this morning, NSW Police say.
About 4.30am today, two men and a woman were in a red-coloured four-wheel-drive on Campbell Road, Calala.
One of the men produced a knife before he stabbed a 33-year-old man and attempted to stab the woman, before running from the scene.
The stabbed man is receiving treatment in hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Detectives from Oxley Local Area Command are investigating the incident and wish to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as having a tanned complexion, with a thin build and short brown curly hair.
He had missing teeth and tattoos on his chest, arms and back.
The man was wearing grey pants, black t-shirt, a grey or brown coloured jacket and grey and purple shoes.
