Police are appealing for public assistance after a woman was found injured in Arncliffe this morning, NSW Police say.
Just after 6.10am tomorrow, emergency services were called to Forest Road and found a 58-year-old woman injured on the side of the road.
She was taken to St George Hospital where she is being treated for a broken arm, and possible broken legs and ribs.
Officers from St George Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
Initial inquiries have failed to determine how the woman came to be injured, and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is believed at the time the woman was injured, traffic was heavy on Forest Road and police believe passing motorists may be able to assist them.
The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with black-coloured hair which was tied up, and was seen wearing a purple top and black pants.
Anyone who has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
