Police seek info following aggravated armed robbery in Orange

Police are appealing for information following an aggravated armed robbery in Orange on the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 6.30pm on Saturday 21 May 2016, a 43-year-old woman was in a home on Lords Place when she answered the front door to two men and a woman.

The trio spoke to the woman before leaving the scene.

Police have been told a short time later, the group returned and approached the woman in the backyard of the premises.

One of the men produced a firearm and threatened the woman before striking her on the head a number of times, causing the woman to fall.

The group entered the woman’s house and threatened her 13-year-old son, before taking a mobile phone, electronic tablet, handbag and cash.

Emergency services were contacted and the woman was taken to Orange Health Services for treatment. Her son was uninjured.

Officers from Canobolas Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations continue, police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward and contact Crime Stopers.
