Police seek info following pursuit in Leumeah

Police are appealing for information following a pursuit through Sydney’s south-west overnight, NSW Police say.

About 10.30pm today, Macquarie Fields Highway Patrol officers attempted to stop a silver Ford Territory that was allegedly speeding on Ben Lomond Road, Minto.

The driver allegedly failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued for a short distance onto Hansen Road, before the vehicle left the roadway and drove through vacant parkland where a passenger jumped from the car.

Police terminated the pursuit and returned to the parkland, where they found a 32-year-old man who’d sustained injuries.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a broken collar bone and taken to Campbelltown Hospital.

The Ford Territory was seen by police a short time later on Pembroke Road, Leumeah, and a second pursuit was initiated.

However, police lost sight of the vehicle and the pursuit was terminated.

Investigations into the matter are continuing and anyone with information that could assist police is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
