Police Seek Info on Stuart Highway Fatal Crash

The Northern Territory Police Force is continuing to investigate a fatal crash that occurred yesterday on the Stuart Highway about 23 kilometres north of the Erldunda Roadhouse.

The crash is believed to have occurred sometime between 8.00am and 8.30am. The vehicle involved in the single vehicle crash was a dark grey Chevrolet Camaro and it was carrying two occupants while travelling south on the Stuart Highway.

A 42-year-old male was found deceased by emergency services on arrival and the second occupant, a 37-year-old male, received serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was admitted to hospital and is in a stable condition.

The next of kin of the deceased have been contacted, and both the deceased and survivor are Northern Territory residents. A file is being prepared for the NT Coroner.

Major Crash Detectives are seeking information from members of the public who may have seen the south bound Chevrolet Camaro, have dash cam footage, or were in the vicinity of Erldunda at the time of the crash.
