Police Seek Information After Carjacking - Elderslie

Detectives are appealing for information after a carjacking in Sydney's south west yesterday.

About 5.30pm on Sunday 26 April 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a carjacking in River Road, Elderslie.

A 43-year-old man was driving his silver-coloured Holden Statesman Caprice sedan when he was allegedly assaulted by a man who stole his car.

The man tried to stop the car from being driven off, and sustained injuries to his lower leg where he was dragged by the car.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

A crime scene was established and investigations have commenced.

Inquiries are ongoing.
