Police are appealing from public assistance after two children were approached by an unknown man in Sydney's Inner West.
Yesterday (Monday 26 January 2026), officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of two children were approached by an unknown man on a street in the Rozelle area.
Police were told about 10.30am yesterday (Monday 26 January 2026), two girls – aged 7 and 4 – were on Percy Street, Rozelle, when an unknown male driver approached them offering them lollies.
A short time later, one of their family members came out on the street and the man left the scene towards Denison Street, Rozelle.
As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV footage of a vehicle hoping to speak to the driver who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The driver is described as being a man of Caucasian appearance, in his 60s to 70s, with an unshaven beard.
He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt and driving a dark grey Toyota Camry sedan.
