Police seek information after driver dies after four-vehicle crash - Punchbowl

Police are continuing to investigate a multi-vehicle crash in Sydney's west last month, after one of the drivers involved died in hospital.

Just before 7pm on Thursday 11 July 2019, emergency services were called to the intersection of Canterbury and Punchbowl roads at Punchbowl, following a four-car crash.

The driver of a Toyota Seca hatchback, an 80-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Prince of Wales Hospital, where he has since died.

The three other drivers – a 56-year-old man, a 28-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman – were not injured and were taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
