Police seek information after firearms stolen during ram-raid at Wentworth

Police are appealing for public assistance after several firearms were stolen during a ram-raid in the state's west.

Just after 6am yesterday (Sunday 12 September 2021), police were called to a business and registered firearms dealer at Adams Street, Wentworth, following reports of a ram-raid.

A short time later, police located a stolen Nissan Navara burnt out at Dareton.

Initial inquiries indicate the vehicle was used in the ram-raid incident, during which a number of firearms and cash were stolen.

The business also sustained extensive damage.

Officers from Barrier Police District attended and established crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist officers.

As inquires continue, police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident – or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area – to contact Barrier Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
